There are scores of places to find kitchen worktops in Bristol but if you want quality you have to be a little bit clever. With the huge growth in property renovation projects over the last 10 years the kitchen worktop business has blossomed. This has led to fierce competition amongst suppliers.

Competition is more often than not good for the shopper but don’t let that lull you into a false sense of security. You should always be aware that the cheaper options may not last as long as you would like. They look great in the showroom but you may discover that as soon as they get a little bit of moisture on the end grain the laminate can detach readily.

If you’re just renting a property out then blatantly the cheaper option is the answer. Having said that don’t go too cheap because you may find in a year or so you have to go back into the property and replace all the worktops. In this case you could have just spent a little bit extra in the first place on better quality worktops which would invariably last three times as long.

So just be concious of the fly by night suppliers and if you really have no clue what you’re looking at get the advice of a professional either through somebody you know or via one of the several DIY forums in cyberspace.
