You may also decide to decorate with round rugs in those highly traveled areas of your home like in front of the lounge.
There are some homeowners that feel that the dents and scratches give their real wood floors personality and that they tell the story of a loved home. If you have a lot of scratches and dents then it is an alternative to have your wood floors refinished. If you have your hardwood floors refinished every decade or so and keep on top of protecting your hardwood floors, they will look the best.
